Finance is excited to announce the implementation of system enhancements to Financial Transaction Services.
The improved FTS is scheduled to go-live on Wednesday, July 17 at 8 a.m. To ensure we have a successful transition, FTS will be unavailable to users beginning July 16 at 5 a.m. Of course, we will inform you of any changes.
Many of the FTS enhancements will not be apparent to users. However, there are some new features to look for:
User Preferences: Searching and navigating for specific codes is now much easier! Instead of scrolling through a long list of codes (e.g., account, project, location) to add to your preferences, a criteria field now exists to locate a particular code.
Other useful tools added to this panel include the ability to navigate results from one page to another by using the drop down page tool, and the option to limit the number of results appearing on a page.
Travel Authorizations and Reimbursements: Access to view attachments pertaining to a travel request will be restricted to the Requestor, Traveler and Approvers/Reviewers in the Traveler’s home department or department responsible for the expense.
In addition to the upgrades, FTS will have a new URL fts.sjsu.edu, so please update your bookmarks.
