Finance’s Fall 2013 What’s Up? Presentation

Our Fall 2013 What’s Up? presentation is scheduled Friday, October 4, 2013, from9:30am to 11:00am, in Engineering 189. Held twice a year, the Finance What’s Up? presentation is designed to keep the campus informed of the latest news, updates, and goals for the departments within our service group.

All members of the campus community with procurement, accounting, and/or budgeting responsibilities are encouraged to attend. No reservation is required. We hope to see you there!

August Accounting Period Close

For employees who track or manage department budgets, please note that the month of August 2013 is now closed in the CFS Finance System. This means that the General Ledger (GL) system will not accept any more entries with an August Journal Date. August transactions can still be entered into the GL system, but the Journal Date must be 9/1/2013 or later. Periods currently open are September 2013 through June 2014.

OfficeMax ImPress Overview Sessions Scheduled

OfficeMax ImPress overview sessions have been scheduled for October.

Contracts & Purchasing Services invites you to attend one of these one hour sessions and learn more of what OfficeMax ImPress provides, how to efficiently utilize their website for your printing requests, and meet Bob Hostetler, OMax ImPress Representative for our campus.

Attendance is not required to access the OfficeMax printing portal.  If you are unable to attend, you may request access by completing the OfficeMax Access Request form-  http://www.sjsu.edu/finance/docs/office_max_training_reg.pdf

Please feel free to enroll yourself in any of our available sessions by logging in to MySJSU.  In MySJSU navigate to:   Self Service > Learning and Development > Enroll in Training Classes

To Search by Course Number:
1. Click on Search by Course Number
2. Enter FIN011  (It is case sensitive.)
3. Click the Search pushbutton
4. Click on the View Available Sessions hyperlink.
5. Select the session you would like to attend.
6. Click the Enroll pushbutton.

To Search by Course Name:
1. Click on Search by Course Name
2. Enter OfficeMax ImPress Overview (It is case sensitive.)
3. Click the Search pushbutton
4. Click on the View Available Sessions hyperlink.
5. Select the session you would like to attend.
6. Click the Enroll pushbutton.

Note:   If you receive a message stating no results were found that match your search, please check the spelling and casing of either the Course Number or Course Name as these are case sensitive.
