The SJSU Research Foundation Board of Directors includes a seat for an SJSU student. The Research Foundation’s by-laws state: “The student shall be recommended to the VPRI in consultation with the President of Associated Students of SJSU.” Click here to learn more about the SJSU Research Foundation. At this time, we are seeking nominations for a student to serve on the Board for the 2021-2022 academic year. The candidate should be engaged in Research, Scholarship, or Creative Activity (RSCA) at SJSU and can be an undergraduate or a graduate student.

Each year the student board member will attend four two-hour meetings of the Research Foundation’s Board of Directors and four one-hour meetings of the Research Foundation’s Finance and Investment Committee. The student board member will receive the packet of meeting materials distributed one week before each meeting. The deadline for nominations is September 24, 2021.

1. A letter stating your reason for the nomination,
2. Student’s resume or CV, and
