Lurie College Hosts Spring Forum for Faculty, Staff

To kick off the spring semester, Lurie College faculty and staff arranged for some learning of their own by participating in a Liberatory Design Thinking Workshop!  The workshop was led by Tania Annaisse, Founder and CEO of Beytna Design, and Corrina Hui, Founding Systemic Equity Designer at DSX, facilitating the group, and focused on the concept of design and how that can be utilized to address and mitigate inequities that exist in our communities as a result of previous designs.  Faculty and staff engaged in dialogue across disciplines and perspectives to gain deeper insights into one another, identify current designs that are inhibiting liberation, and develop a plan for the initial next steps to address those designs.
