Computer Science is for Every Classroom

Join us on Friday, March 20, from 10am-12pm in SH 331 to gain new perspectives on the importance of integrating computer science into K-12 education – lunch is included!

  • This workshop will define computer science and its connection to future careers and explore why access to computer science concepts impacts the education outcomes of every student.
  • Through hands-on activities and conversations, participants will discover what meaningful Computer Science integration looks like in K-12 classrooms.
  • By the end of this workshop participants will begin to envision themselves as computer science educators. No experience with computer science is necessary, but bring a laptop for the fun!

Upcoming ChAD Club Meeting

Lurie College Providing CSET Test Prep Workshop

At Lurie College, we strive to become the hub for community-centered, educational transformation in the region, and so we’re hosting a 3-day CSET Multiple Subject prep workshop to support our students on their journeys to becoming future educators!  This workshop will take place Saturday, March 28; Sunday, March 29; and Saturday, April 4; from 9am-4pm in Sweeney Hall 106 and is designed to help students apply their knowledge to meet exam requirements in each of the exam subtests I, II, and III.  There is no cost to register for this workshop; however, there are a limited number of spaces available and those who enroll must commit to attending all 3 days.  To apply by Monday, March 2, visit http://bit.ly/CSETprep.
