The Lucas College of Business GOAL (Generation of Aspirational Leaders) program is hosting a three-day hybrid leadership conference, Spartan Step Up, in collaboration with Hand and Lift Foundation from Friday, October 22 – Sunday, October 24, from 12-4pm each day. GOAL’s Spartan Step Up Conference seeks to bring together multidisciplinary teams of SJSU students from all backgrounds and experience levels across campus to analyze and proffer solutions to existing community problems. Students spearhead these projects with GOAL advisors, other SJSU faculty, and community partners. This event will expose students to authentic community challenges and encourage them to apply their skills, stimulating their academic advancement and cognitive development while enhancing their professional soft and technical skills. Donor-awarded scholarships will be available, and students will have opportunities to present actionable items to a diverse and experienced panel of judges.
