Meet Edith, SJSU undergraduate student and one of the leaders of Lurie College!

“Education has always played an important role in my life. Since I began volunteering with teachers at ten years old, I become a regular volunteer with a first grade teacher at my elementary school. As I got older she allowed me to teach her class a few times which was when I knew that I wanted to become an elementary school teacher. Here at SJSU I have found many resources and opportunities to achieve that goal and the encouragement to reach my long-term goal of becoming Secretary of Education.”
