Lurie College Dean Heather Lattimer Welcomes STEM Teacher Summer Institute Participants

The SJSU Lurie College of Education is continuously advocating for equity and excellence in education and recently launched a STEM Summer Teacher Institute for educators to earn academic credit and field experience, develop their teaching abilities, and reduce barriers in education.  As a result, SJSU students and alumni who are current and aspiring elementary and middle school teachers have enrolled in a summer course at no cost to them that will develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities to teach math and/or computer science.  Additionally, many of the institute’s participants will have opportunities to gain valuable fieldwork experience while earning a stipend!
