Lurie College Ed.D student Sara Douglas defends dissertation

Congratulations to Ed.D. student Sara Douglas on her recent dissertation defense.  Her dissertation, entitled “A Look Inside the Black Box: Understanding Communicative Exchanges in Online Learning Environments,” utilizes direct observation of students along with educator surveys to determine if online high school students are participating in academic discourse and peer collaboration activities.
