CSU’s Got Talent Online Webcast Training: A New Social Practice: Building a Culture of Strategic Thinkers Across Your Organization – Tuesday, June 28

Join us as guest expert Howard Teibel, president of Teibel Education Consulting, presents “A New Social Practice: Building a Culture of Strategic Thinkers Across Your Organization” on Tuesday, June 28 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. PT.

There are fundamentally two types of conversations at work: Conversations for Action and Conversations for Possibilities. Most of us are so focused on the activities and actions of the day that we rarely practice or learn the art of being in conversation oriented around possibilities. Transforming the culture in your organization means getting people to pick their heads up from their daily tasks to engage in the bigger questions and see the forest for the trees. In this session learn how to cultivate a vivid vision for ourselves, our team and organization, inspire people to work towards a vision of what’s possible, and orchestrate productive moods that engage people in a higher purpose.

Microaggression is a term used for brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative prejudicial slights and insults toward any group. This training focuses on the historical context that makes certain phrases offensive in an effort to help participants understand the unique perspective of marginalized groups. In this session, Tiffany Alvoid will discuss how this behavior manifests itself, the role you play and strategies you can implement to avoid microaggressions in your life.
