CSU’s Got Talent Online Webcast Training: Digital Nutrition: Deguilt Your Tech-Use and Optimize Your Wellbeing Tuesday, November 16

Join us as Jocelyn Brewer, psychologist, speaker, educator, and media commentator presents “Digital Nutrition: Deguilt Your Tech-Use and Optimize Your Wellbeing” on Tuesday, November 16 from 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. PT.

The tech genie is out of the bottle and learning to master our tech habits is a modern-day skill rarely effectively taught in schools or colleges. Digital Nutrition is about intentional and intelligent use of devices and the conscious consumption of news, media and information. Learn how to apply the Digital Nutrition philosophy and use the analogy with food to rethink the way we approach digital wellbeing. This is a positive, proactive, guilt and shame- free way to amplify the best parts of what the digital era can offer.

CSU’s Got Talent LIVE Webinar: COVID-19 Pandemic Update Tuesday, September 21

As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s an important time to learn about vaccination updates, get answers to common questions/concerns, and to speak directly with a medical expert. This webinar will provide helpful information about currently available vaccines, as well as provide the tools needed to understand the current landscape of the vaccination process.

Adam Dodge, EndTAB Founder and Licensed Attorney, will present “Safety for the Campus Community in the Digital Age” on Thursday, September 30 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. PT.

Today, we are spending more time online and on our devices than ever before, which has created new safety risks, including for students, victims of gender-based violence and others. As such, it has become increasingly important to develop skills that prioritize our digital safety. EndTAB’s interactive and engaging workshop will empower attendees to help members of the campus community navigate the digital abuse landscape and stay safe.

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Demystifying the digital safety landscape on campus
  • Issues students and other campus community members may face online today
  • Why you don’t need to be a tech expert to help people stay safe in the digital age
  • Having helpful and supportive conversations

Dr. Sandra Upton, Vice President of Global Diversity Practice with the Cultural Intelligence Center, will present “Cultural Intelligence as the Foundation to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” on Wednesday, September 29 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. PT.

Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is the capability to relate and work effectively in culturally diverse situations. Your CQ predicts your readiness for working and relating effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds. This webcast will explore what cultural intelligence is, why it matters at Cal State and strategies for improving your CQ. We will also discuss why it is the foundation to diversity, equity and inclusion.
