“Justin does more than anyone knows when it comes to broadcasting San José State athletics. Due to Allegri, the Spartans have rose to one of the best television productions in the Mountain West after being at the bottom of the conference for many years. The basketball and gymnastics television broadcasts are the best they’ve ever been thanks to Allegri and can be seen on NBC Sports Bay Area with all of it being produced in house which is extremely difficult to do. Many of SJSU’s other sports will be broadcasted at high levels for the first time ever and student-athletes have a state of the art radio studio now to do podcasts in thanks to the hard work of Allegri. Allegri has put so much of his heart into this university, that he knows how to fix almost anything and he’s almost everyone’s go to when it comes to troubleshooting. The extra hours and hours and hours and hours nobody sees that Allegri has put in is why I am recognizing him. He is helping make the student-athlete experience better than it ever has been at SJSU and should be commended on it. ”

“Shealyn is a passionate believer in building community and comradery between staff departments. She was instrumental in leading a staff event to showcase the staff breakroom (IRC 302). Additionally, she leads a weekly walking group that is open to all staff. Shealyn is a community builder who represents the Spartan Spirit well!”

“It was a hectic day as I was rushing to complete the formalities required to be authorized to work in the US. After checking my documents, Lok Yu communicated to me in a very calm manner and sat beside me to explain which document I was missing so I could absorb and act accordingly. He was kind enough to accommodate my request although I was late for the scheduled appointment. He also suggested that the UP team would wait for me until evening to be back with what’s required. I appreciate the professional manner in which he dealt with my situation, his polite approach enhanced my overall experience at the UP office.”

“Nha-Nghi has done so much to juggle so many tasks for our department in these tumultuous times, with many things changing with class procedures, budgetary processes, and other processes that can be hard for faculty to track while keeping up with our other duties. Recently, she helped me navigate reimbursement for non-refundable expenses for a conference I couldn’t attend due to catching COVID. She was also instrumental in problem-solving when I was assigned to a classroom that could not meet the educational needs of my students. She is a great help in problem solving when challenges come up.”

“Sky is leading the Media Relations department and has done a great job promoting our 22 intercollegiate sports. Football received a lot of media attention this fall and made a bowl game for the second time over the last three years. We were featured on ESPN several times, including four SC Top 10 plays over the course of the last few months. He continues to keep San José State in the spotlight by telling all the great stories of our 500-plus student-athletes.”
