“On October 18, parts of the South Campus experienced a power outage due to an automobile colliding with a utility pole on Alma Avenue. The power outage lasted 23 hours. The regular activities preparing to host a home football game in less than 36 hours had to be altered. Garrett kept the entire department informed on the progress of power being restored. He also made contingency plans for the home football game to take place if power remained unavailable the next day. Eventually, power was restored and the football game took place.” –Anonymous
