Congratulations to TA major Lisa Laymon. As one of 420 President’s Scholars being saluted at this year’s Honors Convocation, she has been nominated by Professor Amy Glazer and selected as one of 10 students featured by SJSU and the Office of the Provost.
Please check out this inspiring interview with Lisa, whose accomplishments and achievements are many and varied. “When an unexpected door opens,” advises Lisa, “walk through it with confidence in yourself. Be curious: ask good questions and listen with an open mind. Never stop learning.”
Congratulations to Theatre Arts Professor Amy Glazer who, on Monday night, was awarded the 2014 Bay Area Critic’s Circle Award for Best Stage Direction in a House with 100 to 300 Seats.
Amy won the award for her production of Seminar at the San Francisco Playhouse. Professor Scott Sublett observes that “it was a perfect realization of an excellent play,” and TRFT department chair Professor David Kahn notes, “it was indeed a wonderful production and beautifully directed.”
