Thrive Across America 2015!

 

The Thrive Across America kick off is right around the corner! This 8 week fitness challenge is a great way to commit to a healthier lifestyle. Form teams of 4 to 10 and track your physical activity online. Each day you record 30 minutes or more of exercise, you earn a Thrive Across America star. The more stars you and your teammates earn, the further you travel across America and the higher your score! Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate. Kaiser Permanente is providing great prizes for participants. The 8 week challenge will begin on February 8.

 

The information session is on Wednesday, January 28 at 12:00 in MLK 225/229. You can still participate even if you don’t attend, but attendees will receive tools​ to help them along their fitness journey. It is encouraged that at least one member from each team attend.

 

The SJSU Thrive Across America website will go live on Monday, January 26. That’s when you can register and start forming your teams. Don’t worry if you can’t find a team, you can still participate and win prize​s​. Please contact Julie Wong at julie.wong@sjsu.edu if you have any questions.

 

Get ready to Thrive Across America!

HR On-the-Go! Coming Thursday, February 13

 

Human Resources is pleased to roll out our new mobile concept, HR On-the-Go!, this Thursday, February 13.

 
HR On-the-Go! brings the staff of Human Resources out of the office and onto campus to help you with some of our basic services. We will be available to help with the following items for students, staff and faculty:
  • New Hire Packets for US Citizens and Permanent Residents
  • Address Changes
  • Withholding Allowance Changes
  • Direct Deposit Enrollment
You can also drop off forms and paperwork and get to know your HR team. 
 
Stop by our HR On-the-Go! booth in front of King Library (on the university side) between10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. this Thursday, February 13. 
 
Going forward HR On-the-Go! will be outside the King Library on the second Thursday of every month, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We look forward to you stopping by!
