Congressional Internship | Panetta Institute (Washington, DC)

2/20/14 @ 4:00 PM – Applications are due from exceptional SJSU students to serve as the university’s Panetta Congressional Intern in Washington, DC during the Fall 2014 semester, sponsored by the Panetta Institute for Public Policy at CSU-Monterey Bay.  One of the most prestigious opportunities available to students at SJSU and other CSU campuses, this fully-paid internship provides selected students with an intensive two-week training course on the workings of the U.S. Congress and then sends them to the nation’s capital for 11 weeks of service with a California member of the US House of Representatives.  While in Washington, you will attend special seminars with government leaders, journalists and policy experts.  See the attached flyer or explore the Panetta Institute Website for more information about this program.  Contact Dr. Jan English-Lueck (Associate Dean | SJSU’s College of Social Sciences) for specific questions regarding application for this opportunity.

 

Global Transformation Symposium | Pachamama Alliance

World Changer Scholars | SJSU

2/13/14 – Travis Lopez (2012 Salzburg Scholar), founder of the World Changer Scholars Program, has announced the first award recipients.  The World Changer Scholars for 2014-2015 are Patricia Aubel (BS in Mathematics), who was selected to help launch her Revitalize project; and Trinity Vu (BS in Accounting), who was selected to help launch herChildren of the Planet Foundation.   In addition to Mr. Lopez, the Selection Committee also included Malu Roldan (2013 Salzburg Fellow | Associate Dean – College of Business) and Bill Reckmeyer (Program Director – SJSU Salzburg Program).  Explore the World Changer Scholars website for more information.

 

MCOM 180 | Global Leadership (Paris and Madrid)
