Campus Community,
Managing guest WiFi networks every time you visit another university or community college adds one more barrier to collaborating with research partners, scouting grad schools, or visiting and colleagues. Here’s a tip to make your life easier: Because SJSU is part of eduroam, you can use your SJSU login and password to join WiFi at thousands of higher education institutions around the world.
Eduroam is an international roaming service that has thousands of participating universities, libraries, and other learning institutions, including over 2,000 participating networks across the United States, with many throughout the SF Bay Area and California. Students, faculty, and staff can connect to a secure network in many major cities worldwide using their SJSU login with eduroam.
Use this interactive map to find eduroam networks, either where you are or where you’re going. To navigate the map, select the continent, then region, then zoom to the location where you want to look. When connecting to eduroam WiFi, select the network named “eduroam” and use your SJSU email address and password to login – simple!
Thank you Rong Wang, our Network Analyst, for supporting our campus community and providing these tips. As always, the SJSU IT Service Desk is here to help by phone at (408) 924-1530 or online.
