“Chi’s work (along with that of the two members of her team) in creating transfer credit rules for the university has been a game changer for SJSU. Each week Chi and her team complete thousands of rules in PeopleSoft so that when students transfer to SJSU they get credit for the work they have completed. This helps ensure that students enroll in the right classes so that they progress toward graduation.

This last year Chi helped test and implement a new OnBase system to keep track of which rules need to be written. Due to Chi and her team’s diligence, transfer credit for incoming Spring 2019 was posted by January of 2019. This process used to take 6 to 9 months. “Jessica has been instrumental in our university program to improve the quality of our learning spaces. She uses her design skills to make valuable suggestions about furnishings, floor coverings, and color schemes. She even designed a special cabinet for the beer and wine appreciation classes!! She meets regularly with representatives from FD&O, IT, and GUP to ensure that everyone is on the same page. Once the project is approved, she carefully tracks the project to ensure that it meets stated milestones and achieves all of the intended project goals. “WSQ 207 was refurbished and repainted over the 2018-19 winter break. The carpet and floor had taken a beating. With only a couple of days to go before the spring 2019 semester starts we asked him if he could clean the carpet and the floors.
