“Diana is a new employee to the Registrar’s office but already has gotten the love of our students. She provides the best interaction to our students, greets them with a smile. She is the best example of someone who provides a well done customer service. The Registrar’s is truly lucky to have someone like Diana, who is positive, caring, helpful, and kind. She cares about students success and education. She effectively applies services. She understands diversity. Most importantly she values community and the work we do together in order to provide the best service our students deserve. With respect and honor, I want to recognize her for all of her efforts.” –Jackie Nguyen

Richardson, Kathrine (Geography) is Stepping Beyond
“I absolutely hate it when employees of the university fail to take accountability for their own actions. A student was advised wrongly. Dr. Richardson stepped in and personally dropped off the student’s late enrollment form. Dr. Richardson is sweet, kind and a definition of how SJSU employees should be. I don’t know her personally but she inspires me. Our university is blessed to have her as an employee. I am sure we have more around campus. I would love to meet more people like Dr. Richardson.” –Jackie Nguyen
Degerli, Candy (University Housing Services) is Stepping Beyond
“Candy is such a joy to work with. She works well with everyone in our office and is always there when anyone needs something. She’s a team player and on multiple occasions, has stepped in to help me with coverage when she didn’t have to. She has, on multiple occasions, done above and beyond her standard duties assigned to her. She brings a smile to people’s faces when walking down the halls and I appreciate everything she does for our office.” –Kimberly Lewis
Fragomeni, Rocco (University Housing Services) is Stepping Beyond
“Rocco has always gone above and beyond to help anyone. He’s always reaching out to students and fellow staff members to make sure they are okay. His presence here in our office brightens everyone’s day when he’s around. Most recently, Rocco helped me with a design for a project. It was out of his job duties, but he jumped at the chance to help. Rocco makes a difference in our work environment and he makes it a joy to help the students in anyway possible.” –Kimberly Lewis
Andersen, Lauren (Library) is Stepping Beyond
“Lauren volunteered to be part of the planning committee for the Provost’s Staff Appreciation Breakfast. I really appreciate that she volunteered to help with this event as the event is the one time during the year that staff are recognized for their contribution to our division. Great job!” –Luann Budd
