The power of Acceleration

During the seven years of Acceleration: The Campaign for San José State University, more than 30,000 individuals, 2,396 corporations and 200 foundations gave to support every department on campus—from the University Library to Athletics.

More than $53 million was contributed to student scholarships and fellowships during the campaign.

Many Silicon Valley companies contributed to programs that provide student internships.

$17.3 million was contributed to facilities such as labs and smart classrooms.

Donors contributed the funds to make our move to the Mountain West Conference possible.

$74 million was raised to support our faculty members.

Giving to San José State is an expression of pride in the university that inspires others to give. 17,000 donors—about 55 percent of the total—made their first gift ever during Acceleration.
