SJSU Excels in Forbes’ Best California Online Colleges Rankings

In only one year since launching, SJSU’s 100% online degree-completion programs were recently ranked #2 among Forbes Advisor’s list of Best California Colleges Online of 2023. Colleges were evaluated based on 16 factors related to student outcomes, affordability, student experience, credibility, and application process.

“This recognition is a testament to the value of our online model,” said SJSU Vice Provost of Academic Innovation and Institutional Effectiveness Ronald Rogers. “We are committed to combining high-impact practices in online education, from our programs and courses that are developed by SJSU faculty and instructional designers to our one-to-one enrollment counseling and academic advising that supports students from application through graduation. We are proud of the foundation that we have established to empower students to complete their bachelor’s degrees at their convenience.”

SJSU Online creates opportunities to earn the same bachelor’s degree as SJSU on-campus students with the same faculty, curriculum and accreditation. With three rolling application cycles and five eight-week terms each year, students are able to begin when it’s most convenient for them and make continuous progress towards their degree. Additionally, students can maximize the number of credits they transfer to minimize their overall cost and time to completion.
