Meghna Virick wants her students to understand that there is no substitute for the hard work learning requires. She demonstrates this by example. She continually updates her teaching materials to reflect industry practices and trends. Right now, that means enhancing student skills in the area of people analytics. Leading tech companies in Silicon Valley increasingly desire managers with the ability to capture data and measure metrics. Innovative learning requires responsiveness to shifting trends, particularly in applied fields such as business. “Nothing gives me quite as much satisfaction as learning something new,” she says.
