“I want our new, current and future Spartans to have the best experience on our campus and embrace that Spartan pride.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Amante came in first in the race to be Associated Students president. The former Spartan cross country runner was the first person in her family to graduate high school, first to attend college and even the first to drive a car. As the representative and voice of nearly 33,000 students, her goal “is to be a positive role model for the student body in all that I do” as she juggles classes and four to five meetings per day. “I am committed to be the advocate for students in those meetings and ensure diverse representation.”
