Outstanding Professor Award recipient Todd, associate chair of her department, wants her students to know this: “You can change the world—and you should.” “For Dr. Todd, education doesn’t just happen in the classroom,” says Todd’s teaching associate Kelly Glass. Todd is a founding member of the International Environmental Communication Association (IECA), an organization focused on solving environmental issues and conflicts through the efforts of a consortium of teachers, scholars, students and practitioners. Todd has also been honored by the National Communication Association with the Christine L. Oravec Research Award, the highest award in the field of environmental communication.
