The university will recognize 115 staff members with 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service. There will be a program highlighting our honorees’ contributions to SJSU, followed by a celebratory reception.

The Employee Services Fair is your opportunity to learn about the benefits programs available to you and meet the vendors who provide them. Your HR benefits representatives will be on hand to answer questions. Many other vendors will be there offering discounts and perks to SJSU employees. Health Trails Wellness Challenge
Registration is open for the Health Trails Wellness Challenge! Get ready to go on an adventure! Well U and Kaiser Permanente are teaming up to bring staff and faculty the Health Trails Wellness Challenge. Track your Health Trails activities to move along the trail. It’s a fun, effective way to track health habits because you actually see your progress.
Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate in this 6 week challenge. Form teams of 4 to 5 and compete against other teams. Joining a team isn’t required but the team aspect is a great way to keep each other motivated and accountable. This year in addition to tracking exercise, we’ll also be tracking produce servings and stretch breaks taken throughout the day. Everyone who completes the challenge goals will be entered in a drawing for great prizes provided by Kaiser Permanente.
Register and form your teams on the Health Trails website. The challenge begins next Monday, April 4 and ends on May 15. Registrations starts today and is open until April 11. This program is similar to Thrive Across America, but has a few additional features we think you’ll love.

Retirement Resources Fair
Human Resources is hosting a Retirement Resources Fair on Thursday, April 28 from 11:00 to 1:30 in BBC 032. If retirement is on your horizon, this fair will give you a chance to speak directly with the retirement services providers: CalPERS, Social Security, Kaiser Permanente, United Healthcare, Fidelity Investments, the 403(b) provider, and Savings Plus, the 401(k) and 457 plan. Your HR benefits representatives will also be on hand.
