Update:

The focus of the project has been confirmed after meeting with the community partner, San Jose Light Tower Corporation. The project is moving forward with designing control systems for multiple drones in coordination. Team members continue to develop individual skills in Matlab and Simulink, which are needed to design our control system. As a team with little experience with control systems and drones themself, the team will need to continue learning throughout the project to achieve the end goal. The first step in the project’s software side is to establish the logic of controls through a block diagram in Simulink.

Team Member Spotlight:

Sun is a mechanical engineering student at San Jose State University and is focused on using his skills with MATLAB to get this project off the ground. Sun has laid groundwork, to develop the model design of the control system. Early designs of the logic help greatly to ensure there is time for testing and implementation onto the hardware.
