Presentation Title: Personal Productivity Analysis
Presenter(s): Maaham Hassan, School of Information
Abstract: When conducting your first data analysis it can be difficult to know where to start, and what data set you should work with. Collecting data is a crucial component of this and an easy category is to track your own data. This project collected personal productivity habits by noting the activities being done, and for the amount of time. Through the use of Excel and Python we cleaned the data, and modeled the time that was spent on productive activities vs. non-productive ones. It allowed for the understanding of patterns that occurred and what factors caused the repetition. This project helped build a foundation of all the components of a data analysis. It allowed for understanding of the implementation of the analysis process and has prepared me to be more confident in conducting an analysis of larger sets of data.
