While in Chicago
recently, Profs. Bob Rucker, Bill Tillinghast and Diana Stover met the radio voice of the Cubs, Pat Hughes from the SJSU class of 1978. He is nationally known by millions of Cub fans and people in broadcasting and has done their play-by-play for 16 years.
At SJSU, Pat took many of our Broadcast Journalism classes and has fond memories of former JMC School Professors Ken Blasé and Darla Belshe. Pat and I chatted for 20 minutes and for years he has continued to mentor our SJSU broadcast students wanting to break into sports reporting.
A great opportunity to meet with SJSU alumni and catch a baseball game — all while attending the AEJMC Conference.
