Out of 250 nominations, Dr. Mae Lavente Dizon, nurse practitioner at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, was named as one of the 2018 40 Under 40 Business Professionals by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

As a nurse practitioner for the Nurses Improving Care of Healthsystems Elders (NICHE) at El Camino Hospital, Dr. Dizon improves the expertise of nursing staff which improves elder patient care.

For the past five years, Dr. Dizon has organized an Elder Summit, an event that brings together community members, nursing students, hospital staff and long term care facilities staff in order to share ideas and best practices.

She is also the co-chair of the hospital’s Nursing Research Council and serves as a mentor to nurses who are interested in conducting research.

Dr. Dizon received her Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner (DNP) degree in 2016 at The Valley Foundation School of Nursing. Congratulations Dr. Dizon on this recognition!
