98.3% of Nursing Students Pass NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam

The faculty of The Valley Foundation School of Nursing (VFSON) is celebrating unprecedented success in one of the key quality indicators in nursing education. The California Board of Registered Nursing reports quarterly on the percentage of graTduates from each nursing school taking the NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam who pass the exam on their first attempt. The VFSON has been working diligently to improve the pass rate for SJSU grads, including a complete curriculum review and revision in 2008, impaction, and the increased use of Clinical Simulation in the nursing coursework. The first quarter of 2012 brought the highest pass rate scores for SJSU in years ….. 98.31%! Congratulations to all!
