Benefits Open Enrollment ends Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. All changes made during Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2020. If you do not make changes by the deadline, all current selections will remain in place for 2020.

Those enrolled in the Health Care or Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts (HCRA/DCRA) must re-enroll in order to continue contributions for the 2020 calendar year. If you do not re-enroll your deduction will stop in your December paycheck.

In the latest edition of The UP Side we announced our fall open forum, The UP Side LIVE! on October 24. We learned that the time overlapped with another event on campus and have moved the time of our event to the afternoon.

The UP Side LIVE! will be held Thursday, October 24 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in MLK 225.

University Personnel is pleased to announce the 2019 Employee Benefits and Services Fair and Open Enrollment dates.

The Fair will be held Tuesday, September 24 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. Benefits providers will be in attendance, as will CalPERS and your SJSU Benefits Representatives. In addition, numerous other vendors will be available to talk about discounts and options for SJSU employees.

Benefits Open Enrollment begins Monday, September 9, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019. All changes made during Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2020. Once the Open Enrollment period opens, changes can be made in SJSU @ Work Open Enrollment.

Reminder: If you do not make changes by the deadline, all current selections will remain in place for 2020. The only exception is flexible spending accounts. To continue those contributions you must re-enroll during this period. The Fair is a great time to talk with providers and your Benefits Representative about possible changes to your enrollment.

Make sure to bring your Tower ID Card for entry into the event and the chance to win a prize.

University Personnel South (UPD Building, 3rd floor) will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 for employees who wish to pick up their March paycheck. Employees must bring a photo ID and may only pick up their own check.

Department contacts can pick up paychecks when the campus reopens on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
