Dale Shipley
Dale Shipley has been a leader in the technology industry for nearly 30 years. Mr. Shipley is a co-inventor of a domain-based processor architecture for computer security and a processor architecture for virtually addressing very large databases. In 1988, Dale founded what was to become the market leader for storage software, Veritas Software. The company has received numerous awards over the years, including the recent recognition from the Stanford Business School Alumni Association that named Veritas Software The Entrepreneurial Company of the Year for 2002, an award established to recognize the entrepreneurial spirit and success of companies founded in the Silicon Valley. In 1995, after having helped established Veritas firmly as a success, Mr. Shipley retired and enjoyed focusing his time and energy on his family. In May 2002, he came out of retirement to build and set the direction for his new venture.
Dr. Koo-hyoung Lee
Current CTO and a Co-Founder of Neurosky. Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Human factors engineering in 1991. Since then, he worked for numerous major industry leaders including LG electronics, Comusys Inc., CEST Co., Ltd., as a Cheif Technology Officer, and Senior Scientist. Also, he served as a director of exercise physiology at Sports Science Institute of Korea Olympic Committee supporting South Korean Olympic Archery Team from 1983 to 1987. He firmly believes in the innovative spirit that triggers technological advancement, which will eventually make human lives better.
Kent Kaufman
Current CEO of Growth and Leadership Center. He got his MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. As a management consultant and executive coach, Mr. Kent Kaufman served Cisco, Apple, Intel Corporation, Hewlett Packard and many more. Mr. Kaufman’s work history covers the business gamut including senior levels of general management, sales, marketing, operations, technology, and business development. He has been the CEO of a small high tech animation company and has held Vice president levels in sales, marketing, business development and acting CFO at a number of Silicon Valley companies. He frequently works with fast-track executives, executives in difficult situations, and executives that are ready to raise their own bar. He consults with and provides executive coaching services to a variety of companies ranging from the Fortune 50 to high tech start-ups.
Tanuja Singh
Current Director of Technology and Quality for Supply Chain Operations at Cisco. She has more than 22 years of extensive experience in Technology Operations and Software Engineering. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Delhi College of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, and dual MBA from Columbia Business School and Haas School of Business at University of California Berkley. Tanuja, also, is a veteran speaker at industry conferences such as CIO Summit @ San Francisco, INLAC World Conference @ Cancun, Mexico, American Society of Quality @ Silicon Valley, Global Supply Chain Summit @ University of Southern California, and has held several workshops and quality summits in U.S., India and Northern Island for All-State and Cisco. Tanuja’s passion and spirit of sharing her knowledge and experience always lead her way in the culture of education.
Steve Artim
Steve launched Mitsubishi Electric’s first graphics chip division and built his first mobile startup to over %40 million in annual revenues from two guys in a garage in less than seven years. He has spent the past 10 years of working on disruptive technology companies in numerous markets and countries. His passion is to bring new technologies to market and create the fast-growing business around them to maximized value. Business is a team sport and he has decade’s long carrier bringing the best out of those teams. Steve also tries to give back in that he is the president of the United States Naval Academy Parents Club of Northern California. He is currently a CEO of Amaratal, strategic marketing and selling consulting company.
Abe Ghanbari
Abe is currently a Chief Technical Officer at Semblant. He has been a business/technology executive with 25 years experience in both start-ups and large corporations. He specializes in semiconductor, optics, nanotechnology, and solar industries. Abe led cross-functional teams, developed business plans, secured key accounts and led the execution of more than 50 products with applications in flat panel displays, optics, optical thin film coating, data storage, medical devices, metrology instruments, and photovoltaic solar industries. He has always believed in spearheaded strategic and operational planning, setting goals and objectives, implementing matrices and dashboards to manage $70M budget with $200M P&L, and increased annual revenues by $150M. He is an advisor to several start-ups in green micro-laser, diamond devices, atomic layer deposition and CPV Solar and holder of 8 patents.
