Larsen, Jessica (Provost’s Office) is Stepping Beyond

“Jessica led the committee that put together the Academic Affairs Staff Appreciation Breakfast.  It was so much fun and truly honored the staff. The amount of work that had to take place behind the scenes to arrange the whole event was enormous, and she leads the team with grace. She truly stepped beyond in the choice of the food, the entertainment and in soliciting so many wonderful donations for the raffle. And the division made a significant contribution to Second Harvest Food  bank. Great job!” — Luann Budd

Anderson, Lauren (Library) is Stepping Beyond

“Lauren has been swamped with recruitments this fall, and was also asked to do five weeks of training to learn the duties of someone in our unit who is retiring. Even with the additional workload, she volunteered to work on the Academic Affairs Staff Appreciation Breakfast. The committee put on a stellar event for all of AAD’s staff. I really appreciate Lauren’s willingness to step beyond and support our division and represent the library so well. Great job!”– Luann Budd

Gale, Georgette (Counseling Services) is Stepping Beyond

“Georgette works in Counseling, a department that requires the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality.  I have witnessed on numerous occasions her going above and beyond with students – not just telling them what they need to do, but SHOWING and guiding them.  She is calm in all situations and her empathy and compassion shines through in every interaction.  Her commitment and dedication to the students, her department and SJSU community is admirable!  She is a true model of Spartans caring for Spartans.” –Monica Garcia
