“Every day of the year Nancy Day steps beyond and serves as an invaluable resource for SJSU!! Nancy is incredibly knowledgeable about PeopleSoft and answers questions about many aspects of the system for people all over campus.
When she is not helping all of us use PeopleSoft, her real job is to support development and maintenance of MyProgess and MyPlanner, which she takes very seriously. She and her team have built these E-advising tools for all 144 undergraduate degrees and many of the graduate degrees. She has also trained many advisors on how to use them.
If a student or advisor identifies an area where the tools are not accurately reflecting the student’s progress, Nancy tracks it down and ensures that any glitches are fixed. Due to the work done by Nancy and her team, the College of Business has been able to replace paper major forms with MyProgress. This helps our evaluators complete graduation check out much more quickly and get diplomas to our students just days after the semester is over.” –Thalia Anagnos
