“Ms. Chan has implemented a program in the past year aimed at providing a holistic support program for new transfer students to SJSU. The Transfer Connect program connects new students to each other as well as professional staff in a manner that best serves the unique needs of first generation, low income, transfer students. The post evaluation showed extremely high satisfaction rates with the group meetings Ms. Chan has provided over the past year. Addressing the needs of new Transfer students has been a need within EOP for many years, and it took the dedication and skill set of Ms. Chan to set this program into place.”
