CSU Graduate Equity Fellowship Awards

6/24/13 – Applications are due from students interested in receiving a Graduate Equity Fellowship, with awards up to $3,000 for the 2013-2014 academic year, which is intended to encourage and assist students in their pursuit and completion of master’s degrees.

Available only to California resident students admitted and enrolled in a master’s degree program (credential-only candidates are not eligible), this is primarily a needs-based scholarship program and students must demonstrate a minimum financial need of $1,000.  Applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it to the SJSU Financial Aid Office.  A copy of the FAFSA form must be attached to the Graduate Equity Fellowship Program application form.

Applicants must be admitted and enrolled in a master’s degree program at San José State University for the 2013-2014 academic year.  Recipients of these fellowships must be enrolled in both academic terms and complete a minimum of 6 units in each term.  All the requirements are set forth in the application.

Applications will be reviewed by the Graduate Fellowship Program Committee and eligibility will be assessed on the basis of financial need and scholastic excellence.  The completed applications are due in Graduate Studies & Research, Administration Building, Room 223B, no later than Monday (6/24/13) @ 4:00 pm.   Awards will be announced by Monday (8/26/13) and are subject to funding availability.  Contact Dr. David Bruck for additional information about this program.
