For the third consecutive year, the San Jose State women’s golf team won the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, this year by two shots over New Mexico State at the Longbow Golf Club.

The Spartans shot a 294 on Sunday for a three-round total of 884. New Mexico State finished second at 886 after shooting a 295. This is San Jose State’s third consecutive WAC Championship and fifth WAC women’s golf title since 1996-97. The Spartans have won the second-most WAC titles in conference history with five, just two behind Tulsa who won seven. Full story on www.sjsuspartans.com.
