Faulkner completed 53.8 percent of his passes for 206 yards and one touchdown. He transferred to San Jose State from Mount San Antonio College after leading his team to a 13-0 win-loss record and the 2009 California Community College Athletic Association’s version of a national championship. That season, he passed for 3,301 yards and 30 touchdowns. “I was excited. It’s what I came here to do – to start. I’m thrilled – ready to go. I’m more comfortable working with the 1’s more and more,” says the 6-foot-2, 204-pound, right-handed passer about the last few days of practice. Read more on our starting quarterback.
