“Music saved my life. It’s a special thing.”
A concert tour in Europe with the Choraliers. The chance to “sing in the cathedrals” where her “favorite music was born.” It’s all a dream come true for Nguyen,’15 Music Education, the recipient of a 2015 Alumni Association Dean’s Scholarship for the College of Humanities and Arts. A member of the Concert Choir, Marching Band, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band—as well as the Choraliers—she plans to teach band, choir and orchestra to elementary and middle school students. “I connect with the younger kids—plus I’m taller than them,” she says.
