San Jose State Athletics Scholar. Dean’s Scholar. Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar. Capital One Academic All-District VIII honoree. Two-time Academic All-WAC honoree. Cunnigan’s many accolades honor her accomplishments on and off the basketball court. She’s shooting for a career in sports psychology, working with collegiate athletes to help them develop the mental stamina they’ll need to balance the demands of academics and competitive sports. Cunnigan is particularly interested in helping young girls who want to play collegiate sports succeed “in academics and in their sport as well,” she says.
