[UPDATED] Unit Limits for Spring 2017 Enrollment

19 Unit Limit for Graduating Students:

Spring, Summer or Fall 2017 candidates for graduation will be eligible to register for up to 19 units on December 31, 2016 without filing a petition. Note: Your graduation application must be on file with the Office of the Registrar on or before October 1, 2016.

19 Unit Limit for other continuing students:

Beginning Friday, January 13, 2017, all continuing students in good standing may register for up to 19 units without a petition.

21 Unit Limit (with Excess Units Petition)

Continuing students in good standing desiring to take up to 21 units can petition using the excess units petition form that will be available on the Registrar’s Office website on Monday, January 9, 2017. The maximum units allowed, with petition, is 21 units.

Previously some students were restricted to only 16 units. As of the beginning of the Spring 2017 semester, all students may register for up to 19 units.
