Hi Stacy,

Here’s the flyer about the Open Houses that Pam and her team had scheduled for Oct. 23/Oct 24. Rather than having the workshops that we used to do, it was decided to conduct an Open House.

Please share with the academic advising community. This information has been posted on our website, and students will be messaged about the event by Friday this week.

Thanks,

Marian

Advising Holds

Advising holds were placed on all Undergrad Math/Stat majors last weekend. Math/Stat majors should have been contacted by Dr. Hsu about who their advisor is. If you don’t have an advisor contact Professor Jackson in MH 316. To get your advising hold released you need to schedule an advising appointment with your advisor. You won’t be able to register for spring classes until you have an advising session with your advisor and he/she releases your advising hold. Since advance registration for spring starts at the end of October make sure to get your advising done in October so you don’t have to delay your registration. Cheers, Brad J

Library Resources for Students Sucess

Hello Michael and Neil,

Attached you will find a slide with information about library resources including tutoring, group study rooms, and 24/5 access – all of which the library is providing to support student success (student success, student success, and, oh yeah, student success).

As Dean Tracy Elliott mentioned, I would welcome the opportunity to attend college and faculty meetings and other CoS events to discuss and demonstrate OneSearch (the new CSU-wide catalog), give updates, address any problems or concerns, and to receive comments about how the library can better support CoS in your efforts toward improving student graduation rates and student success on campus.

Thanks,
Yen
