“In his capacity as a member of the Associated Students Board of Directors, Akshat expressed an interest in working with the Dean of the Library in order to possibly extend library hours. Other Board members expressed skepticism, ranging from indifference to a firmly expressed belief that increasing library hours was not at all feasible. Despite that, Akshat pursued the project single-handedly, producing visual data for Board members on CSU library hours and eventually working with the Dean of the Library to develop a pilot program, currently operating, which lengthened library hours to one in the morning and increased the number of dates prior to finals during which twenty-four hour library service would be offered.
