Proposed USPS Postal Rate Change

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is proposing rate adjustments in accordance with Postal Regulatory Commission approvals to help address operating losses due to declines in mail volume. The planned rate change, if approved, will begin on August 29, 2021. As this may affect your FY 2021/22 budgets, we wanted to give you the opportunity to plan for your USPS postage usage.

The proposed Mailing Services price changes include:

Early Mail Pickup by USPS for Oct. 9

Monday, October 9 is Columbus Day, a federal holiday. Outbound USPS Mail will be picked up from our campus at 11:30 a.m., three-and-a-half hours earlier than normal.  USPS mail requiring same day processing and mailing should be brought to Distribution Services by 10:30 a.m. on that day. Mail received after the cutoff will go out the following day.

Reminder: Distribution Services Closed on May 2

Please be advised that Distribution Services will be closed on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 to attend a division retreat.  We will not be receiving incoming shipments, delivering mail and parcels or picking up outbound mail and shipments. Normal services will resume on Wednesday, May 3.

With specific regard to inbound FedEx shipments that are held at Dado Street, we will pick up those shipments on May 3; however, if you wish to retrieve your own shipment on Tuesday, you may do so. Please take a picture ID and have your tracking number available. You may also drop off outbound FedEx shipments at Dado Street.
