This means the General Ledger (GL) system will not accept any more entries with a January journal date. January transactions can still be entered into the GL system, but the journal date must be 2/1/25 or later. The current period open is February 2025.
Finance and Business Services is pleased to announce Amit Jain as our new Associate Vice President, Budget Planning and Financial Management. Amit is a University of California alum and has previously worked as a Budget Director at UCSF School of Medicine Dean’s office. He started his career as an engineer and worked for preeminent organizations such as NASA and Intel for over 15 years. Since 2007, Amit has held executive finance roles at multiple organizations including as CFO for a healthcare startup.
Amit has resided in Santa Clara since 1996 with his family. He is married to an IT professional and has one daughter who is pursuing her JD/MBA degree at The University of Chicago. Amit is an avid Jeopardy fan and in his spare time he likes to play tennis, solve crossword puzzles, and volunteer for community service. He holds an MS in Chemical Engineering, an MS in Materials Engineering, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC-Berkeley.
