Robert Marx (they/he) is an assistant professor of child and adolescent development at the Connie L. Lurie College of Education. They are an expert on queer and trans youth development, as well as the supports and structures in families, schools and communities that can help LGBTQ+ young people thrive. A former high school English teacher, he holds a doctoral degree in community research and action from Vanderbilt University.
