Taking Community Leadership to the Next Level: Stoyu Ivanov and Meghna Virick Join PremierOne Credit Union Board

Ivanov and Virick selected for PremiereOne Board

At Lucas College of Business, we’re not just about teaching business; we’re about living it, breathing it, and giving back to our community. That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate two of our own, Meghna Virick, professor and associate dean for faculty and research and Stoyu Ivanov, professor of finance, as they step into impactful new roles on the Board of PremierOne Credit Union.

This isn’t just a big deal for Ivanov and Virick—it’s a big win for the entire Lucas College and Graduate School of Business. Their appointment to the board underscores our mission to develop leaders who don’t just excel in the classroom or the corporate world but who are passionate about using their talents to create real change in society.

Ivanov, who brings years of expertise in his deep academic research on corporate governance to real-world challenges shared his excitement about the opportunity to make a difference beyond academia:

“I have done extensive academic research in the areas of board of directors and corporate governance, and I’m excited to see how what I’ve learned theoretically applies in the real world. I’m ready to give back to my community and PremierOne Credit Union through what I have learned.”

And Virick? She is ready to apply her deep expertise in human resources and leadership to real world challenges:

“The most exciting part of being on this board would be the opportunity to leverage my operational and HR expertise in a strategic and impactful way—in an organization that is committed to making a difference in the community.”

We couldn’t be prouder of these two incredible leaders. Their appointments are a shining example of how our thought leaders are being recognized not only for their academic achievements but for their real-world impact as well.

So, what’s the bottom line? The Lucas College of Business is here to make waves—not just in business education, but in our community. Ivanov and Virick’s appointments to the PremierOne Credit Union Board are a powerful reminder that when you put your skills and knowledge into action, you can make a real difference.
