Halloween will mark first ‘Conversations with the Dean’

Charles Bullock, the dean for the College of Applied Sciences and Arts at San José State University, will begin hosting “Conversations with the Dean” once a month. The first monthly event is set for October 31, in MacQuarrie Hall 438A, from noon to 1 p.m. The informal hour has been set aside as an opportunity for faculty, students or staff members to share thoughts, ideas or concerns with the dean.  Anyone who would like a chance to talk with Dean Bullock can drop in without an appointment.

The monthly “Conversations with the Dean” will be a chance for anyone associated with the College of Applied Sciences and Arts to ask questions about the College, its departments and schools or the university in general. It is also a chance for students, faculty or staff to share ideas or thoughts with Dean Bullock. The hour will be reserved for short chats with those who drop in between noon to 1 p.m., with anyone seeking to carry out university business (such as gathering document signatures) directed to the Dean’s Office front desk in MH 431.

As the first meeting is on Halloween, the Dean’s Office will provide sweet treats, cookies, hot beverages such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Visitors are also welcome to come dressed in costume with photos of the best dressed to be shared on the CASA blog and on Twitter @SJSUCASA.

Meeting times and locations for November and December will be announced in the coming weeks.
