The California State University (CSU) is accepting applications for its California Pre-Doctoral Program for the 2016-17 academic year.
In 2016-17, the California Pre-Doctoral Program will award funds to approximately 70 juniors, seniors, and graduate students enrolled in the CSU system. These funds are designed to enable selected students to explore and prepare to succeed in doctoral programs in their chosen field of study. Awards are based on competitive review of student applications and given to current upper-division or graduate students who, in the judgment of the review panel, demonstrate academic excellence while having experienced economic or educational disadvantages, and who are committed to a career in teaching or research at the university level.
The online application process must be completed by February 26, 2016, by 5 p.m. (PST). For a complete program description, eligibility requirements, detailed instructions regarding the online application process and a link to the online application can be accessed through Graduate Studies’ Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholarship webpage.
