This is a little late in coming, but at the Sustainability retreat Anton Kashiri, AVP for Facilities Development & Operations, gave a presentation on the efforts being made by his group on Sustainability. It was a nice overview of the breadth of campus facilities, our energy needs, and conservation solutions. You can see the entire presentation HERE.

On a related note, the Senate office has received a referral from Katherine Cushing, Special Assistant to the President on Sustainability, asking for the formation of a University sustainability committee. This was one of the recommendations of the Senate Sustainability Task Force that delivered it’s report last May. The referral will be taken up by the Organization and Government committee. O&G members will discuss the sustainability committee charge and membership, and should be bringing a recommendation to the Senate some time in the spring.
